Our Story

From a small cafe to a BIG Kitchen

Giddy started in our family kitchen, long before there was ever a shopfront. We opened a little cafe in Adelaide in 2024, then traded it in for something bigger — one wholesale kitchen feeding cafes, venues and restaurants across South Australia. We're only just getting started.

Family-run, sweet-obsessed

Baking has always run in this family

We didn't sit down one day and decide to start a bakery. Baking just kind of decided for us. Cakes for birthdays. Cookies after school. Slices on Sundays. Sweet things have always been how this family celebrates, comforts each other, and stays around the table an extra hour because the dessert was worth it.

The name 'Giddy' came from the feeling we'd all get when we shared them — that little high you get from a really, really good treat. We figured if it made us giddy, it might make other people giddy too.

Worth a shot.

Sweet things are how this family celebrates.
The Journey

How we got here

A little cafe. A few left turns. A lot of cookies. Here's the short version.

  1. July 2024

We turned the family obsession into a shopfront

We took the kitchen-table baking and put it on a counter in Adelaide. Same hands, same rule — if it had our name on it, we made it. Slower, harder, much more delicious.

  2. The phone started ringing

    Other cafes wanted in

Word spread that we baked everything ourselves. Cafes around Adelaide started asking if they could stock our baked goods too - and just like that, the wholesale idea was born.

  3. Trial & (delicious) error

Macarons. Filled crombolonis. The whole gauntlet.

We tested, tweaked, scrapped, started over. Some bakes had their moment. Others quietly retired. We kept going until we found the ones people couldn't stop ordering.

  4. The bestsellers landed

Bread that disappears at lunch. Scrolls that rarely last 'til 2pm.

Focaccia for the sandwich crowd. Cinnamon scrolls for the mid-afternoon sugar dip. And cookies that never had a quiet moment, ever.

  5. The big shift

We closed the cafe to focus fully on wholesale

One counter could only reach so many people. Closing the cafe meant we could feed all of SA instead of one city block - same passion, way more mouths.

Where we are now

One kitchen. One mission.

Today we run our wholesale production kitchen in South Australia, baking daily for cafes, venues and restaurants from the city to the coast. Same hands-on approach. Same obsession with the details. Just a lot more ovens.

Little CBD Cafe

We still miss the cafe sometimes. The 7am rush, the regulars whose orders we knew by heart, the locals who quietly became friends. We can't pour your morning coffee anymore — but you're in every batch we bake.
